Classical tag: protest in Delhi in May

KOLAR: A protest will be organised in front of the Prime Minister’s office in Delhi in the first week of May, seeking early decision on classical language status for Kannada, president of the Kannada Sahitya Parishat Chandrashekar Patil has said.

Speaking to presspersons here on Thursday, he condemned the step-motherly attitude of the Centre towards Karnataka and Kannada. Prof. Patil also criticised members of Parliament from the State for not doing enough to protect the interests of the State. — Staff Correspondent
