Nilgiris CC is champion

Udhagamandalam: Nilgiris Cricket Club scored a narrow two-run win over Colts Cricket Club to emerge champion of the Canara Bank-NDCA ‘A’ division league for the K-Lite Rolling Trophy at the HPF grounds here on Thursday.

The scores: Final: Nilgiris CC 129 (S. Sandeep five for 20) bt Colts CC 127 (Fabian McDonald 60).

At Coimbatore, PSG College of Arts and Science, with a clean league slate, lifted the title in the Bharathiar University inter-collegiate inter-zone cricket tournament at the varsity grounds on Thursday.

In its last league clash, PSG defeated SRKV College of Arts and Science by six wickets.

The scores: League: SRKV CAS 84 in 20 overs (Soundaramani four for 17) lost to PSG CAS 85 for four in 15.2 overs. Final standings: 1. PSG CAS 9 pts, 2. SNR Sons 6, 3. SRKV 3.

The CIT Basketball Trophy tournament, organised by the Coimbatore Institute of Technology, will be held at the CIT grounds on March 14 and 15.
