Politics at the cost of education

Political parties can hold people to ransom and go scot-free. It is yet again proved by the postponement of Intermediate examinations after a political party gave a bandh call on Friday. Officials chose the shortest route of postponement to save students from inconvenience. The Government too didn’t want to take chances since their national party president is coming and any problem arising out of the examinations would directly reflect on them. Both the political parties are happy that their interests are served. But who is bothered about students who have to re-schedule their preparation and that too in a crucial examination like the Intermediate? Will they ever be questioned or punished for their irresponsible acts affecting lakhs of youngsters?
