Internal Vigilance wings planned

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State government proposes to set up an internal Vigilance machinery in all departments. Minister for Home and Tourism Kodiyeri Balakrishnan announced this on Thursday after inaugurating the Vigilance wing of the Cooperative Department here. A Vigilance court would start functioning at Kottayam this year to dispose of pending Vigilance cases, the Minister said.

Cooperation Minister G. Sudhakaran said the law would be amended to restore the assets that cooperative institutions had lost and to avert the recurrence of such developments.
