Cyclist fatally hit

TAMBARAM: A 52-year-old man was killed instantaneously when the cycle he was riding was hit by a vehicle on Jawaharlal Nehru Main Road at Anakaputhur on Wednesday. Gajendran, a daily wage earner of Kamarajapuram at Anakaputhur, was returning home after distributing invitation cards for his daughter’s wedding.

Electrocuted

A 22-year-old youth died after he came into contact with a live wire at Nagalkeni, near Pallavaram on Wednesday evening.

Rakesh of Kolkatta, was standing on the first floor and talking to a colleague below, when the accident occurred, the police said.
