Move to allow sand mining flayed

CHENNAI: The AIADMK general secretary, Jayalalithaa, on Thursday criticised the government’s move to allow sand mining at Dhamrarajapuram village of Kadamalai-Mayilai union falling under the Assembly constituency of Andipatti in Theni district.

In a statement, she said reports indicated that the mining was on from March 3. The party would stage a demonstration in the village on Friday.
