CHENNAI: InfoVision Group, a Delhi-based independent business process outsourcing (BPO) company, plans to invest over Rs. 50-100 crore in the southern region by 2010. The company is planning to expand into Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities such as Mysore, Coimbatore and Kochi. Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Aditya Gupta, President and Founder, InfoVision Group, said the company had inaugurated its new facility in Chennai that would accommodate over 1,000 employees by the end of 2008. At present, it had 1,500 employees in Chennai and 1,000 in other southern centres. The company would recruit another 1,000 people by the end of the year. In three years, the company would have recruited 6,500 people in the southern region, he said. All over the country, the company had a headcount of over 11,000 employees. Mr. Gupta said InfoVision planned to enter and expand its operations into other verticals such as technical support, telecom, health and retail.
