VIJAYAWADA: Over 200 unemployed youth from different parts of the district participated in the weekly job mela under Rajiv Udyoga Sri (RUS) programme held at the Employment Exchange on Government ITI premises on Friday. As many as nine employers took part in the programme and interviewed the aspirants who came from different academic backgrounds and degrees like ITI diploma, Intermediate and graduation. Interviews were conducted for both technical and non-technical posts and the results would be announced shortly. Regional Employment Officer V. Himabindu said interviews would be conducted to recruit staff for a glass factory under construction at Bhongir during the next round of job mela to be held on March 28. The company requires 100 persons with ITI (fitter) qualification, 25 youngsters who passed Intermediate and 10 B.Sc. graduates. Meanwhile, applications were also received at the venue of the job mela for the training course in Tally package under RUS.
