Panmana Pooram on Tuesday

Thiruvananthapuram: The Pooram festival of Sri Subramaniaswamy Temple at Panmana, known as the Pazhani of Kerala, will be celebrated on Tuesday.

The spectacle will begin at 4 p.m. Fireworks will be held later in the evening.

The highlight of the celebrations is the line-up of elephants and the change of parasols to the accompaniment of Panchavadyam and Panchari melam, in the Thrissur Pooram style, by nearly 250 artistes.

Minister for Water Resources N.K. Premachandran will chair the meeting being organised in connection with the Pooram celebrations.
