Jewellery, cash stolen

TIRUPATTUR: Jewellery worth about Rs.1.20 lakh and other household items were found missing from the residence of a businessman dealing in Siddha medicines on Friday.
According to the police, Noor Mohammed of Third Street at Kottai Jinnah Road had gone to Bangalore. . On Thursday night, his wife Reshma had locked the house and gone along with her daughters to her sister’s house .
When she returned on Friday morning, she found the entrance door locked from inside. However, she managed to open the door and found the bureau in one of the rooms broken open. Gold jewellery, electronic goods and a sum of Rs.3,000 were missing.
