LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh Government in collaboration with the State Bank of India has launched a new online facility for payment of tax, a first of its kind in the State. The facility was launched under a project called “Traders’ e-Fortune” by State Chief Secretary Prashant Kumar Mishra in the presence of SBI Chief General Manager Shiva Kumar. The first payment under the scheme was made from the office of the Chief Secretary by Indian Oil Corporation. Appreciating the initiative, Mr. Mishra said the Government would earn revenues at the fastest possible pace and the reconciliation work in treasury would become far easier.
