Flora Shiny had acted in Kannada movies
Special Correspondent
BANGALORE: It has emerged that the Mumbai-based actor Flora Shiny, who has been arrested by the Chennai police on charges of being part of a U.S. visa racket, has acted in some Kannada movies.
According to sources in the Kannada cinema industry, Shiny took the name of Mayuri for the Kannada film industry and she had acted in four films, of which one is yet to be released.
She had played lead role in two films — “Giri” starring Srinagara Kitty and “Nammannna” starring Sudeep, which were released some two years ago.
She is also the heroine in “Dhimaku,” produced by veteran actor Sreenivasa Murthy, which is scheduled for release shortly.
While it is said that around 200 persons from the south Indian film industry, including some from Karnataka, were connected with the alleged racket, the Bangalore police said that they had no official communication.
