Goalless draw

Kaliswara Football Club was held to a goalless draw by Alagappa University College of Physical Education in the Sivagangai District ‘A’ division football league at Karaikudi on Friday.

Volleyball tournament

The third annual Southern Districts prize money open volleyball tournament organised by Friends Volleyball Club, will get under way at the Municipal Youth Play ground, Kovilpatti, on Saturday. Sixteen teams will be participating. Sethu Institute of Technology, Kariapatti is the defending champion.

Karan nets winner

A 30th-minute header by K.K. Karan enabled PSG Sports Club score a 1-0 win over New Venus Football Club in the opening fixture of the CDFA ‘A’ division football league at the PSG College of Technology grounds in Coimbatore on Friday.
