THANJAVUR: P. Sakthi’s all-round show (166 not out and five for 40) was the highlight of KM CC’s 137-run win over Appu CC in a Canara Bank–Thanjavur DCA first division league cricket match here.

The scores: First division: KM CC 311 for four in 40 overs (P. Sakthi 166 n.o., J. Pavendhan 67) bt Appu CC 174 in 32.1 overs (P. Manoj Prabakar 45, David Sundar Singh 40, P. Sakthi five for 40); KK Computers CC 233 in 33 overs (R. Anandhan 60, Nethaji 40, Shankar six for 54) bt MMS CC 130 in 26 overs (Nethaji four for 35); PCK Brothers CC 129 in 30 overs (Ranjith four for 58) lost to Tuff XI CC 130 for seven in 24 overs (Sathish five for 56); Challengers CC 190 for eight in 35 overs (Shankar 43, Rajan 40, Manickam five for 35) bt Ganesh CC 184 in 34.2 overs (Ranjith six for 50).

Second division: V CC 144 in 23.2 overs (K. Kumar 40 n.o., Ambedkar four for 30) bt Sahara CC 74 in 17.3 overs; LIC CC 129 in 25 overs (Ravikumar 44, Rajan 40, Prakash four for 25) tied with Sahara CC 129 in 24.4 overs.

St. Joseph’s posts win

At Tiruchi, St. Joseph’s College defeated YMCA 2-0 in a Tiruchi DFA super division football league fixture on Friday.
