CHAMARAJANAGAR: The president of the Kannada Chalavali Vatal Paksha, Vatal Nagaraj, has stressed the need for forming Kannada Shakti Okkoota to contest from all the 224 constituencies in the State in the coming elections. Presiding over a convention of his party workers at Maleyur on Friday, he said that his party would support such a federation if formed by Kannada organisations. Mr. Nagaraj said the problems of the State would be solved by regional parties and not by national political parties. He said his party would support the bandh called on March 19 by the Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha and other organisations against the Tamil Nadu Government’s move to develop the controversial island at Hogenakkal. Zilla panchayat member Somanaika was present.
