New destination: Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan will inaugurate Tejomaya, phase I of L&T Tech Park, in Kochi on Saturday.

KOCHI: Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan will inaugurate ‘Tejomaya’, phase I of L&T Tech Park, and launch the work of its phase II project ‘Signature Tower’- both located on the Infopark campus at Kakkanad on Saturday.

With a total built-up area of 1.1 million sq.ft. in two phases and spread across 7.5 acres, L&T Tech Park is set to catalyse the information technology boom in Kochi by providing world class workspace for companies having tier-two city expansion plans.

With its proximity to the airport and the city and many other operational advantages, Infopark has emerged as an ideal destination for IT and ITES companies planning for expansion in Kochi.

SEZ status

Being a special economic zone, the SEZ occupants can enjoy the benefit of tax and duty exemptions offered by the government of Kerala.

Tejomaya is ready for occupation and offers column-free space with larger floor plates, high-end security systems and infrastructure facilities for continuous IT/ITES operations.

The interiors and exteriors of the building are designed for a congenial working environment with modern lifestyle. IT majors including TCS, IBS, Arbitron and L&T Infotech have already booked space in Tejomaya.

Over 3,500 technocrats will be expected to work at the facility.

Many amenities

Consisting of ground plus nine floors, Tejomaya houses a 250-seat cafeteria, health club and gymnasium, business centre and ATMs.

With 100 per cent power backup. Tejomaya is complete with building management systems.

Signature Tower envisages development of a 21-storey twin tower of 6.75 lakh sq. ft. area and is designed to be a landmark for IT infrastructure in Kochi. The project is planned to be ready by 2009, providing employment to 7,000 professionals.

Green architecture

The design and construction will integrate green building concepts for making the facilities more energy efficient and to provide maximum human and machine comfort.

L&T Tech Park will have two multi-level car parking facilities of 4.5 lakh sq.ft., according to the company.
