Youth gets death row

THANJAVUR: Rajesh (25), accused in a triple murder case, was sentenced to capital punishment by the District Sessions Court here on Friday. The sentence is subject to confirmation by the Madras High court.

Judge Mohammed Zafarullah Khan said as the guilt of the accused had been proved beyond doubt, he was imposing capital punishment.

Rajesh was accused of murdering his father Dasaiah, his father’s third wife Bhagyam and his grandmother Gnanambal of Manalur near Kabisthalam on April 6, 2006.
