Jindal Stainless plans SEZ in Orissa

HISSAR (HARYANA): Steel maker Jindal Stainless plans to set up a SEZ on 300 acre of land close to its plant in Jajpur, Orissa, for the metallurgy engineering industry and downstream activities. “We are planning to have a SEZ next to our plant in Orissa for downstream activities. The Orissa Government is keen on the project,” Jindal Stainless Vice Chairman and Managing Director Ratan Jindal told reporters here. The company is setting up a 1.6 million tonne stainless steel plant in Jajpur in two phases.
