‘Case of nepotism on the part of TD’

Staff Reporter

VIJAYAWADA: Criticising the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) for showing “nepotism” in nominating its representative to Rajya Sabha, executive member of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee Kolanukonda Sivaji on Saturday said that the TDP leaders had no right to speak about social justice.

Mr. Sivaji said at a press conference that the nomination of Nandamuri Harikrishna to Rajya Sabha was a clear case of “nepotism” and the party showed its “true colours” when it comes to fulfilling nominated posts. Welcoming the Congress decision to send K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao to the RS, he said that the party was sending its representative from Krishna district after a gap of 25 years. He called upon the activists to make the Chief Minister’s public meeting in the city on Sunday a grand success.
