Maternity ward for PHC

SALEM: Salem Steel Plant (SSP) had constructed a maternity ward and Laboratory at the Primary Health Centre at Sarkar Kollapatti, near here, as a part of the plant’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes.

A shed for vehicle was also provided. Mr. B. B Singh, plant’s Executive Director, inaugurated the facilities here recently. Salem Steel Plant is also committed to improve the educational standards in and around the peripheral villages. On March 11, 2008, Shri B.B. Singh also handed over furniture and play equipment to Govt Primary School, Vattmuthampatti.

Salem Steel Plant has also undertaken the electrification of the class rooms, which was commissioned by Shri Singh, ED, SSP. Shri C Madhesh, President, Vattamuthampatti Panchayat, Shri AP Subramanian, Head Master and General Managers of Salem Steel Plant along with employees participated in the function.
