Rise in clove prices

LOWER OUTPUT: Cloves kept for sale in Kochi. Clove prices continue to rise as global output is estimated to be lower this year following drop in production in major producing countries such as Indonesia, Zanzibar, Comoros and Madagascar. The country has already imported 2,500 tonnes from Sri Lanka.
