SNAG: A notice board on link failure put up at the Anna Nagar railway reservation office on Saturday. CHENNAI: The functioning of the recently opened railway ticket reservation office in Anna Nagar was affected by a link failure for nearly four hours from 1.30 p.m. on Saturday. The link was not restored till 5 p.m. Those who had come for booking tickets were advised by officials at the counter to go to the reservation office in ICF. Many of them complained that the officials took time to put up a notice board. Rajesh, a resident of Anna Nagar, said for the second consecutive day, the issuing of tickets at the facility was affected. On Friday too, the problem was attributed to a link failure. On Saturday, reservation counters in Thiruvanmiyur too did not function for around two hours from 3.30 p.m. A Southern Railway official said as the cable network was installed recently there were teething problems and measures were being initiated to rectify them.
