Bapatla Engineering College students excel

GUNTUR: Eighty-five students of Bapatla Engineering College have been presented with ‘offer letters’ from TCS Hyderabad. Head–Quality Assurance Division, TCS Hyderabad G.V.R.S. Prasad handed over the offer letters to the students on Friday.
At a special function got up on the occasion, he said students must stick to professionalism and dwelt on the professional ethics and values that were practised in the company and also what was expected of the new entrants. There was stiff competition in the world of information technology from countries like China, Brazil, Indonesia, Taipei, etc., which were not technically advanced and to have a cutting edge we need to be more innovative and focussed, he said. College principal G. Nageswara Rao and Training and Placement Officer D. Nirajan Babu were present. .
GATE ranks
Students of Bapatla Engineering College have bagged several ranks in the GATE-2008, the results of which have been announced recently. College principal G. Nageswara Rao on Saturday said that 159 students of the college hade secured GATE ranks this year, continuing the tradition of bagging the highest ranks among the engineering colleges in the State. Out of 159 students, 10 have bagged all India ranks below 100 and the top rank being 11. Few students have narrowly missed the complete score, he said. _ Staff Reporter The top rankers of the college are B. Venu Babu E.E.E. -- 11 all India Rank (99.92%), Brammaiah Chemical -- 16 all India Rank, P.N.V.V.R. Prakash E.E.E. -- 26 all India Rank (99.83%), Ch. Raja Sekhar Chemical -- 52 all-India Rank etc.
