GHMC official held on graft charge

HYDERABAD: Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Saturday arrested an executive engineer of GHMC (south zone division-1), Mohd. Younus Ali, on charge of amassing wealth illegally.

Searches at his house and those of his relatives revealed that he procured assets worth over Rs. 80 lakh that were disproportionate to his known sources of income, the ACB officials said in press release. The properties included eight plots in and around the city, two houses at Tarnaka, Rs. 3.5 lakh and bank balances to the tune of Rs. 5 lakh. The EE would be produced at a local special court.
