Inaugurating the Amateur Theatre Federation at the Vani Mahal, Thyagarayanagar, Madras, on March 15, Mr. C. Subramaniam, Finance Minister, said that true art should be intellectually and morally elevating and only then it served the purpose for which it was intended. He appealed to all those interested in the growth of our fine arts to do their bit towards their promotion and enrichment.
