MALAPPURAM: The Kerala State Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Confederation said here on Saturday that the workers should be given promotion and assimilated into the Social Welfare Department. Last grade posts should be given to anganwadi helpers and the post of clerks and supervisors to anganwadi workers, said Haridas Pulpetta, State president of the Confederation. He presided over a meeting of the Confederation held here on Sunday. District Congress Committee president U. Aboobacker inaugurated a special convention held in connection with the training for PSC examination. M.C.K. Veeran, former librarian of Calicut University, led the training programme. — Staff Reporter
