THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Fraternity for Arts and Media Entertainment (FRAME) has announced the media awards 2008. Jury chairman S.R. Sakthidharan told mediapersons here on Sunday that awards were given for remarkable pursuits in the visual media during the past one year. Kairali channel managing director John Brittas was adjudged the media man (‘madhyama purushan’) and the music programme Melody, conceived by Krishnakumar and aired on Surya, the best music programme. Johnny Lukose (Malayala Manorama) who presents ‘Nere Chovve’ is the best interviewer. Anupama (Indiavision) and Venu Balakrishnan (Asianet) are the best news presenters. The best news programme is Manorama News Hour (MMTV). Cinemala (Asianet) is the best comedy programme. The other winners are: Thara (Asianet), Raj Kalesh (Amritha) best programme anchors, ‘Ente Manasaputhri’ (Asianet) best serial, K.B. Ganesh Kumar, best actor (‘Aliyanmarum Penganmarum,’ Amritha), female actor Sreekala Sasidharan (‘Ente Manasaputhri’), comedian Bijukuttan (‘Five Star Thattu Kada,’ Asianet and ‘Ettu Sundarikalum Jnanum’, Surya).
