Jayalalithaa’s directive to partymen

Special Correspondent

CHENNAI: AIADMK general secretary Jayalalithaa has directed her party workers not to have any dealings with lawyer N Jothi, who had resigned from the primary membership of the party. Mr. Jothi resigned from the party after he was not given party ticket for the Rajya Sabha elections.

In a release, Ms. Jayalalithaa said Mr. Jothi walked out of the Supreme Court while appearing for her in a case on March 12 after coming to know that he had not been re-nominated by the party for Rajya Sabha. He informed the party that he was withdrawing from all cases and decided to hand over the case files.

Withdrawing from all cases all in a sudden was nothing but “unethical,” she said.
