Women urged to take up research

CHENNAI: Anna University Vice-Chancellor D. Viswanathan urged students to seek gainful employment and not waste their education.

Speaking at the 9th annual convocation of Dr. MGR Janaki College of Arts and Science for Women here, he stressed the need for women to take up research and entrepreneurial ventures. A total of 26 students secured university ranks. S.R. Bhuvanashree secured the university first rank in Sanskrit. Archana Ramanadhan and Aparna Priyamvadha secured university first and second ranks in B.Sc Psychology respectively. Vyshanvee. P and K.N. Latha of MA (HRM) secured university second and fifth ranks. The department bagged the seventh 12th, 13th and 15th university ranks.

M. Gunavarthini of M.Sc. Bioinformatics secured the fourth rank.
