Cash award for top scorers

Coimbatore: Global Garden of Peace and Friendship – Forum of Humanism at its recent meeting has decided to reward top scorers in HSLC, SSLC and Matriculation examinations.

A release from N. Umathanu, general secretary of the forum, said that the top scorers in these examinations would be provided with a cash prize of Rs. 5,000 and a trophy.

Three from Vadavalli and three from Coimbatore Educational District would be rewarded. A decision to this effect was taken at a recent meeting, wherein it was also resolved to provide incentive to 10 poor students who scored highest marks in SSLC and HSLC examinations.
