Freak train accident

Coimbatore: In a freak mishap at the shunting yard at the Coimbatore Railway Junction on Sunday evening, the vacuum disc of a rail coach came over the disc of another coach.
It is learnt that railway workers were involved in formation of coach composition for the Chennai-bound Cheran Express when the incident took place.
While shunting the coaches, a vacuum disc of one of the coaches (meant for connecting one coach with another) instead of aligning properly came over the disc of another coach.
Since the incident took place in the railway line leading to the shunting yard, rail traffic was not affected.
Workers
Railway officials pressed additional manpower for setting right the vacuum disc and ensuring the departure of Cheran Express with the minimum possible delay.
