Cases registered
TIRUPUR: Cases have been registered against police officials, including a woman Sub-Inspector, on charges of illegal trespass and attack in a diary farm owned by a Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam MLA at Avanashipalayam near here on Saturday.
Based on the report by Govarthanambigai, a Sub-Inspector, the police registered cases against the MLA’s son and some others. In her report, Ms. Govarthanambigai said she and her colleagues were wrongfully detained by farm workers when they went into the farm in search of two persons came by a motorbike, and prevented them from discharging their duty.
In her complaint, the MLA’s wife said that the Sub-Inspector and two constables trespassed into their farm and beaten up two of their workers. — Staff Reporter
