GANDHINAGAR: All-India Congress Committee secretary Rajiv Shukla on Sunday said people should question Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on why terrorism ‘increased’ during his tenure and the NDA regime. Addressing a daylong camp of Congress workers and senior leaders here, as part of the exercise to prepare for the Lok Sabha elections, Mr. Shukla said terrorism ‘spread’ during the NDA regime. Mr. Shukla asked party men to forget the debacle of the December Assembly elections and prepare for the Lok Sabha elections. He wanted the State Congress to launch an agitation on the lines of the campaign initiated in Uttar Pradesh by Rahul Gandhi, to seek answers from the Modi administration about the Central funds allotted for various schemes and the amount spent by the State. State party president Bharat Solanki, Opposition leader in the Assembly Shaktisinh Gohil and other leaders alleged that the Congress workers were being “harassed” by the Modi administration. AICC spokesman Mohan Prakash said this year’s budget was being talked about because it had benefited almost all sections of society.
