Coastal security meet held

PUDUCHERRY: The Police on Monday convened a meeting of the representatives of different Government Departments in Puducherry, Mahe and Yanam regions to discuss coastal security.

The meeting chaired jointly by Collector G. Theva Neethi Dhas and Senior Superintendent of Police (Law and Order) Chhaya Sharma discussed steps to be taken to ensure coastal security in the Union Territory.

Representatives from the departments of Electricity, Fisheries, Local Administration, Public Works and Revenue, besides the Coast Guard participated in the discussion. — Staff Reporter
