Aam Admi to benefit 2.74 lakh landless poor

Kakinada: Zilla Parishad Chairman Ch. Venugopala Krishna said that the ‘Aam Admi Bima Yojana’ would benefit 2.74 lakh landless poor in East Godavari district. This insurance scheme which will be implemented from April 1, 2008, has come as a boon to the poor, he said in the ZP Standing Committee.

The Central and the State Governments would equally bear premium payable by the insured.
