Malayalam Mission planned

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government proposes to launch a Malayalam Mission to promote the use of Malayalam as the official language, Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan told the Assembly on Monday. Responding to a calling attention motion by C.P. Mohammed (Congress), the Chief Minister said the government would also set up Malayalam learning centres within and outside the country to promote wider use of the language. — Special Correspondent
