Steps to clear files

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan said in the Assembly on Monday that a workshop would be conducted to clear the pending files in collectorates and district sub-offices.

Agriculture Minister Mullakkara Ratnakaran said the Kerala Agricultural University was planning to set up an agriculture polytechnic to impart training in agriculture practices and coconut tree climbing. A final decision was yet to be taken, he said.

Task forces

Revenue Minister K.P. Rajendran said district and taluk-level taskforces would be formed to evict the encroachments on 1,042 acres of revenue land. As many as 26 officers had been posted to intensify the eviction process in Munnar.
