Revision of pay scale sought

The three-day conference of the All India Station Masters Association, which began at the Chand Kalyanamandapam on Monday, demanded revision of pay scale of station masters from the present Rs.4,500-7,000 to Rs.6,500-10,000 and also sanction of an additional post of station master for all stations where traffic density crosses 85 per cent. Association secretary-general P.K. Das demanded that the Railway Ministry expedite the process of converting open toilets in railway coaches to closed ones, which would be eco-friendly.
