Suman shines for SBH

HYDERABAD: T. Suman (162) helped State Bank of Hyderabad score 370 in its first innings against Ensconse CC in the A Division (three day matches) knock out championship here on Monday.

The scores: A - Div three day matches knock out tournament: State Bank of Hyderabad 370 (T. Suman 162, Daniel Manohar 70, P. Srihari Rao 48, Ahmed Quadri 44 not out, Shakeer four for 122) vs Ensconse CC nine for no loss.

A – Div one day matches knock out tournament: Semifinals: Evergreen CC 140 lost to Andhra Bank 145 for one (Abhinav Kumar 60 not out, D.B. Ravi Teja 67).

VPG in final

Victory Playground entered the final of the Maganti Rajkumar memorial basketball tournament with a 79-53 win over CCOB at City College here. For the winner, Daniel (27) and Prasad (20) were the main scorers while for the loser Ramesh (11), Narsing and Chotu with 10 points each put up a good show.

In the second semifinal, Artillery Centre defeated CRPF 90-55 with A. Rajeev (24), Maninder (20) and Valayathan (14) being the main scorers.

For the loser, T. Bhaskar (13), Vishwanath (14) and Shamlal (10) played well.

CCOB in semifinals

City College Old Boys defeated State Bank of India 3-0 to enter the semifinals of the CCOB Cup prize money football tournament at Quli Qutub Shahi Stadium here.

After a barren first-half, CCOB struck thrice through Touqdeer, Majid and Shoaib in the 60th, 62nd and 64th minutes respectively.
