Diamond jewellery recovered; 3 held

NEW DELHI: A 21-year-old domestic help and his two alleged accomplices have been arrested by the Delhi police in connection with the theft of gold and diamond jewellery worth Rs.45 lakh and Rs.3 lakh in cash at Paschim Vihar here earlier this year. The police claim to have recovered a diamond necklace, a diamond-studded wrist watch, seven gold rings, two diamond bangles, six diamond earrings pairs and Rs.97,000 in cash. According to the police, Murari Lal Bansal of Mianwali Nagar registered a complaint with the Paschim Vihar police on January 26 that his domestic help Arun had decamped with jewellery and Rs.3 lakh in cash when the family had gone out to attend a function.
