Film fete in Kochi

KOCHI: The Metro International Film Festival, organised by the Metro Film Society, Kochi and C-hed, Kochi Corporation, will get under way here on April 4.

The seven-day festival will showcase nearly 70 films in various categories, including classics by masters such as Ingmar Bergman, Michelangelo Antonioni and Krzyzstof Kieslowski and contemporary films from various countries.

The festival will be inaugurated at Sridar theatre.

There will be a session on Bharat Gopi. Short films and documentaries and new Malayalam films will also be a part of the festival.

Screenings will be held at three locations — Sridhar theatre, EMS Memorial Town Hall and Cafe@Sridar. The screening timings are 11.30 a.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7.15 p.m. For details, contact 0484 4021079.
