ARIYALUR: Pattali Makkal Katchi founder S. Ramdoss on Tuesday warned the State Government of “a youth uprising” if the police department fails to withdraw the “false case” foisted on Vanniayar Sangam State president J. Guru and two other party functionaries.

Addressing party cadres at a protest meeting, he asserted that the party would not be cowed down by intimidation. The PMK would go ahead with its next course of action if the bomb blast case was not withdrawn. He said he suspected that the purpose of the entire exercise was to thwart Mr. Guru’s prospects of becoming a Rajya Sabha member.

Dr. Ramadoss explained that causing trouble to the Vanniyar Sangam leader was tantamount to flouting the spirit of alliance and friendship. The DMK should stop treating the PMK as its enemy. The PMK would hold the State Government responsible for the consequences that would arise if even the slightest hurt was caused to the Vanniyar Sangam leader, he said.
