This Day That Age
Mr. R. M. Hajarnavis, Deputy Minister for Law, said in the Lok Sabha on March 17 that Government had received a suggestion for the issue of identity cards to voters with their photographs with a view to avoiding all possibility of impersonation at polling booths. Mr. Hajarnavis said that the suggestion had been made by the West Bengal Government and was being considered in consultation with the Election Commission.
