Narayanan made no reference to LTTE base: PMO

New Delhi: The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on Tuesday clarified that the National Security Adviser M. K. Narayanan had made no mention about the LTTE establishing a base in Tamil Nadu as has been reported.

“It is clarified that answering a question relating to LTTE activity in Kerala the NSA only said the police would monitor any such activity,” the PMO said in a statement.

It said “no reference was made in this connection to Tamil Nadu nor was there any mention whatsoever that the LTTE had established a base there.” — PTI
