Patna: The headquarters of the Nalanda Open University would be soon shifted to Nalanda from here, State Human Resource Development Minister Brishen Patel said on Tuesday. Replying to a starred-question of ruling JD(U) MLA Shravan Kumar in the Assembly, Mr. Patel said, according to the Nalanda Open University Act, the university must have its headquarter in Nalanda. “We are trying to acquire land for constructing building for the university,” he said. At present, the university was functioning from a rented space near Gandhi Maidan here.
