Sonia speaks to Siddaganga seer

Bangalore: Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday spoke to the senior seer of the Siddaganga Math, Shivakumara Swamy, and wished him well. The pontiff will be celebrating his 101th birthday shortly.

The former Chief Minister S.M. Krishna, along with several Congress leaders, called on the seer in Tumkur and sought his blessings. KPCC general secretary Prakash Rathod, who was with Mr. Krishna, said a large gathering greeted the former Chief Minister in Tumkur. Others present were the former Ministers A. Krishnappa, V. Somanna, G. Parameshwar and KPCC general secretary P.M. Ashok. — Special Correspondent
