Fire hits power supply to Noida

Noida: Power supply to twin cities of Noida and Greater Noida was crippled following a fire which broke out at an electricity sub-station, completely gutting a 315 MVA transformer.

The repair work would take another two days and till then the cities would be supplied power through alternate source, officials of Palli sub-station said. The satellite cities of Delhi faced a blackout at 8.30 pm on Monday. However, the supply to some sectors in Noida was restored late Monday night. PTI
