Sand lorries damage roads

KULITHALAI: Karur district president of Bharathiya Kisan Sangh Marudur M. Shanmugam has urged the authorities to take steps to prevent sand lorries from damaging the roads in the district. Overloaded lorries from which water drips continuously makes the road vulnerable and damages it very quickly. Revenue, Police, Public Works Department and the Transport Departments should work with coordination to prevent the roads, especially the Karur-Tiruchi highway, from being repeatedly damaged by the sand lorries, Mr. Shanmugam has urged.
