Rs. 33 lakh allotted for Tiruvarur hospital

INSPECTION: Health Minister M. R. K. Panneerselvam visiting Government Hospital in Tiruvarur
TIRUVARUR: Health Minister M. R. K. Panneerselvam has said that a sum of Rs. 33 lakh would be allotted for improving the facilities at the Government Hospital here.
He inspected the Government District Headquarters Hospital on Sunday.
He saw the in-patients taking treatment in the hospital.
He asked the doctors to keep the environment clean lest they have to face stern action. He also saw the site selected for the Government Medical College.
He later told presspersons that vacancies of doctors would be filled up soon. A new CT scan will be provided to the hospital.
M. Chandrasekaran, Tiruvarur Collector, Govindasamy, Joint director, Public health, K. Thennan, Chairman, Tiruvarur Municipality, R.Shankar, Vice-chairman, K. Ravi, Executive Engineer, PWD, and V. Nagarajan, Revenue Divisional officer, Tiruvarur accompanied the minister during his visit.
