Broadband problem
Special Correspondent
CHENNAI: Broadband users of Tata Indicom faced a disruption in the connectivity for hours on Monday and Tuesday, following a rupture in the optical fibre near Mylapore. A few users in the Mylapore area complained that it was a virtual blackout through Monday.
According to a company spokesman, the connectivity problem was confined to users in Mylapore and Santhome. Though the fault had been set right on Monday, a recurrence was reported on Tuesday as well. Services had normalised by Tuesday afternoon, he said.
Chennai accounts for 40,000 of Tata Indicom’s 2 lakh broadband users in the country.
